Life Science Construction in University City

Gardner/Fox completed renovations to one of their life science clients in University City. On the 7th floor, you’ll find a recently revamped 22,000 square feet office and laboratory suite. This space boasts upgraded research laboratories and fresh office design, offering ample room for gatherings. It even included Focus and Huddle Rooms, perfect for fostering staff collaboration. 

Piazza Mazda of West Chester

Gardner/Fox recently completed the 15,000 sq. ft. renovation of Piazza Mazda of West Chester. The extensive project included the teardown and re-build of the showroom, incorporating the Mazda Brand’s new façade design, the “Jewel Box,” a customer lounge and service center, as well as the addition of a new service covered service drive.

Audi Wilmington Dealership

Gardner/Fox completed renovations to this 25,000 sq. ft. Audi dealership in Wilmington, DE. The 2 phase project included the interior upgrades of the showroom, sales offices, boutique, service counter, custom lounge, dealership facade, and service facility. The project also included the construction of a new service drive, which provides customers with protection from the elements when dropping off their vehicles for service.

Hospital Suite Renovations in Philadelphia

Gardner/Fox completed the renovation of a healthcare suite in Philadelphia. The project took place over 3 phases to maintain the safety and comfort of patients. The scope of work consisted of the suite’s interior entrance, lobby, waiting room, reception, nurses station, medical offices, and restrooms, totaling approximately 10,000 sq. ft. of space.

Office Safety Upgrades In Philadelphia, PA

Gardner/Fox completed safety upgrades to an open-office facility in Philadelphia. Glass partitions with sliding doors were used to create safe spaces for employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each enclosed space includes furniture and data capabilities, to provide employees with fully functioning workspaces. The rooms can additionally be used as private meeting spaces when necessary.

Multi-Phase Office Renovations in Philadelphia

Gardner/Fox completed over 151,000 sq. ft. of renovations for a client in Philadelphia. Phase I included the construction of a swing space with the flexibility to pull electric and data to various desk locations as the client needed.  With the swing space in use, the two main phases of renovation were completed in two separate facilities, including upgrades to lobbies, private offices, open offices, conference rooms, kitchenettes, and training rooms.

Life Science Office Expansion

Gardner/Fox recently completed renovations to one of their life science clients in University City. The renovation included the conversion of approximately 4,200 sq. ft. of open office space into a communal kitchen with a pantry, video conferencing room, and huddle space. Additionally, the adjacent suite was converted to office space for the company’s financial team, which includes a conference room for team meetings.

Drexel College of Computing and Informatics

Gardner/Fox completed the fit-out of floors 10 and 11 at 3675 Market Street to create Drexel University’s College of Computing and Informatics. The 50,000 sq. ft. space includes offices, classrooms, computer laboratories, and collaboration hubs. One of the most impressive features is the communicating stair, which allows students and employees access to both floors of the space, for an efficient learning environment. The new classrooms are active learning spaces with flexible seating, and audiovisual systems to support the University’s learning pedagogies. 

St. Edmond’s Home For Children – Girl’s Wing

Gardner/Fox completed a renovation to the girl’s wing at St. Edmund’s School for Children. The scope of the project included five new patient bedrooms, a nurses’ station, a playroom, and updating the wing’s main corridor. Each space required new flooring, wall coverings, and lighting, as well as specialty upgrades. In addition to these aesthetic updates, the project included new medical gas access stations in two of the bedrooms, as well as a new patient monitoring system, accessible from the new nurses’ station. The station itself was expanded to support more staff and upgraded with new desks and locker storage.

3675 Market Street Fit-Out Floors 7 + 8

Gardner/Fox completed the fit-out of floors 7 and 8 at 3675 Market Street for Cambridge Innovation Center, better known as CIC. This project is a continuation of the fit-outs completed previously on floors 1-5 and 9-10. Both floors have their own unique theme and are made up of flexible office spaces ranging in sizes from 40 sq. ft. to 640 sq. ft. The fit-out also included meeting rooms, communal kitchens, private work booths, and break areas, encompassing over 50,000 sq. ft. of space. 

New Covenant Church of Philadelphia Children & Family Center

Gardner/Fox completed the renovation of the Children and Family Center at The New Covenant Church of Philadelphia. This 6,200 sq. ft. center was left vacant due to water damage and dilapidation. Gardner/Fox provided construction management services, overseeing the installation of new electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, as well as unique finishes. The final product includes a commercial grade café, classrooms, offices, ADA compliant restrooms and lobby.

3675 Market Street Office & Laboratory Fit-Out

Gardner/Fox worked with HOK and Strada Architecture to complete 125,000 sq. ft. of tenant fit-out at 3675 Market Street, Wexford Science & Technology’s newest addition to uCity Square, a 6.5 million square foot mixed-use community consisting of retail, residential, clinical, office, and laboratory space concentrated around an open-air public square.

Audi Dealership of West Chester PA

The 48,000 square foot, two-story dealership was constructed with a 16-foot drop at the rear of the facility that reduced the footprint by 50%, since it allowed the service shop to be placed under the showroom. The dealership also features 21 service bays with a fully automated car wash, new alignment equipment and a full assortment of amenities that enrich the customer experience.

Heart & Vascular Institute

Gardner/Fox completed renovations to the Heart & Vascular Institute lobby. It is the second phase of a four phase project to update the building, making it more patient focused.

Drexel’s College of Computing & Informatics

Gardner/Fox is completing the interior fit-out of approximately 50,000 sq. ft. of office, classroom, and computer laboratory space on two floors in 3675 Market Street. The Drexel University College of Computing and Informatics seeks a vibrant, open, and state of the art facility. The use of a communicating stair, architectural glass walls, gathering spaces, and areas of open ceilings will provide an exciting and collaborative environment for the College to call home.

Medical Building Expansion in Limerick PA

Fast-track construction of a 40,000 sf, two-story addition to include an 18,000 sf surgical facility, a 9,000 sf dialysis unit, an expanded 185-car parking lot with a patient drop-off area, and a storm water detention basin.

Han Dynasty in Philadelphia

Han Dynasty moved into restaurant space in University City formerly occupied by Mid Atlantic restaurant. In order to accomodate the new restaurant, the cooking line was reconfigured and a new 5-burner wok incorporated. Bendheim decorative glass panels accommodate a view of the open kitchen from both the main and private dining areas.

Holman Infiniti Dealership of Maple Shade NJ

The renovation included the demolition of the existing 23,000 square-foot show room and the construction of a brand new 34,000 square-foot showroom. The new showroom includes a customer lounge, glass-walled offices, sales center, porte cochère, and service center renovations. Renovations to the service facility included the installation of fluid lifts, state-of-the-art tool benches and a mechanical tire carousel. The existing service bays remained operational throughout the entire process. The front glass facade is comprised of an unique illuminated glass “sail”, which showcases the vehicles and meets Infiniti design standards.

Stoneleigh

Gardner/Fox worked closely with Natural Lands Trust to transform the historic Hahs Estate in Villanova PA, into the Stoneleigh natural garden. Work on the property included the installation of new walking trails and a visitors parking lot. Work on the buildings included the restoration of some structures, the removal of others, and structural repairs to the exiting carriage house and maintenance barn. A new visitors center and ADA compliant restrooms were also constructed so that Stoneleigh’s beauty would be there for all to see.

St. Peters Church

Gardner/Fox was hired in a true Design/Build capacity in the spring of 2016. Gardner/Fox began designing this Parish Hall addition, and fast-tracked the construction, which was completed in 2017. The approximately 14,000 square foot addition includes two meeting rooms, a commercial kitchen and cafe space, as well as a large gathering hall with a folding partition wall for more intimate gatherings.

Inn at Penn in Philadelphia

In total, the 43,000 square foot renovation included work on 6 floors, 240 rooms, and 4 elevator lobbies. All the while, daily hotel operations continued as usual and guests were free to enjoy their stay in University City. The project followed a meticulous and rigorous schedule, which was executed seamlessly. Working closely with the architect during the design phase facilitated quick decision-making. In the end, each room received upgraded finishes, including new flooring, lighting, paint, signage, and electrical work. New high traffic carpet, wall coverings, and over 100 sconces on each floor refreshed the hotel’s corridors. Uniquely designed elevator lobbies feature beautiful hand rubbed bronze chandeliers.

Universal Atlantic Systems in Paoli, PA

This 54,000 square foot office fit-out included two floors of open work space, conference rooms, private offices, training rooms, employee lounges, warehouse space, and multiple areas for employee collaboration.

Montgomery School in Chester Springs, PA

Construction of a new 18,000 sf library and academic center for the Montgomery School. The facility serves as the hub of the Middle School student’s day and houses classrooms, a library and a technology center.

Sheraton of University City in Philadelphia

By completing the renovation in three main phases (with a few sub-phases), we minimized construction disturbances and ensured the hotel could accommodate guests throughout the entire construction process. The tastefully refreshed updates occurred in the main lobby, reception area, business center, ballroom, conference rooms, ADA-compliant restrooms, common corridors, elevator lobbies, and the 20th floor club lounge. The unique social spaces utilized 21′ high custom laser-cut aluminum art-deco wall panels, five halo-style chandeliers (each 19′ x 7′), non-marring metallic paint, and custom-patterned carpet.

Medical Center in Philadelphia

The 14,500 square foot renovation of the south wing of this medical center in Philadelphia included 30 patient rooms, a nursing station, bathrooms and supporting infrastructure. All patient rooms received new head walls, new flooring and new ceilings. We also provided updated mechanical systems including HVAC and lighting.

Maserati Dealership of Wilmington DE

Maserati’s newest 10,000 square foot dealership features a beautifully appointed showroom incorporating all of the fine finishing details one would expect from the Italian automaker.

United House of Prayer for All People

The renovation and restoration of Philadelphia’s United House of Prayer for All People restored the building’s functionality after extensive water damage destroyed most of the basement. Reconstruction included the basement chapel, social hall, offices, meeting rooms and lavatories as well as a new kitchen with commercial grade appliances.

Medical Center Pharmacy

The pharmacy renovation at this medical center included floorplan reconfigurations as well as all new HVAC, electric, and interior finishes. Since the pharmacy had to remain open during the renovation, construction occurred in three phases.

Porsche Dealership of Conshohocken PA

Gardner/Fox converted an existing multi dealership facility into a single tenant Porsche dealership. The renovation included finish upgrades to two separate showrooms for both new and pre-owned vehicles, sales offices, customization center, customer waiting areas, conference rooms, accessory shop, as well as a full service facility. Exterior upgrades include a new façade and new signage for both sales and service. New construction of an indoor customer drop off area featuring a valet provides a pleasant experience for guests in need of vehicle service.

Cerulean Arts Gallery in Philadelphia

Gardner/Fox provided design and renovation services to complete the gallery expansion of Cerulean Arts in Philadelphia. The gut renovation required new mechanical systems, gallery partition walls, light fixtures, bathrooms, a workroom, and stair relocation. A new glass storefront, along with new windows and doors, allow natural light to permeate the space. Future renovation plans call for six new studios on the second and third floors where local artists can live and work.

DanDan of Radnor PA

We worked with a design from Strada Architects to alter the concept and feel of a 5,050 square foot restaurant formerly occupied by a different restaurant. The renovation included the installation of new finishes, lighting, banquets, and kitchen upgrades. Removing a wall of windows and installing Solar Innovations folding glass doors allowed the existing dining room to expand to an outdoor patio. This is our fourth project with this client and second DanDan restaurant fit-out.

Drexel Medical Research Laboratory

Fit out 1200 sf of new wet lab space for Drexel University at the 3711 Market Street Science Center. Construction included a darkness room with an incubator and a biosafety cabinet, a work room and a wet lab with moveable benches, two permanent BMC laboratory fume exhaust hoods and a flexible snorkel exhaust.

CIC

Gardner/Fox completed the 125,000 square-foot fit out of multiple floors at 3675 Market Street, Wexford Science & Technology and the University City Science Center’s newest addition to uCity Square. Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), the Science Center, and First Hand Labs will be occupying 6 floors of the 14 story building. The fit out will include flexible office space, conference rooms, a fully stocked café, gaming room, high-end furniture, operational and technical support, and premier lab environments.

Mini Cooper Dealership of the Philadelphia Main Line

The complete gut renovation of an existing facility made up of several additions built over the past 100 years resulted in a new service floor, in-floor exhaust, lifts, alignment racks, high intensity lighting, high speed doors, an oil distribution system, a waste oil heating system and a new air-conditioning system for the service area. The parts department was completely gut renovated and finished with new service counters, high density parts storage and an automated tire storage rack. The exterior was resurfaced with Alucobond panels and an EIFS finishing system.

Cedarbook Plaza in Wyncote PA

Fit-out of two 9,500 sf retail buildings and associated site development. The Joyce Leslie building fit-out included a manager’s office, storage and a receiving area with loading dock. The other building was constructed for multiple tenancy. Both buildings were slab on grade construction with split-face block and EIFS exteriors, clear anodized store front doors and windows, built-up asphalt roofing and decorative exposed steel awnings.

Total Renal Care Dialysis Center in Langhorne PA

Fit-out of a 6,000 sf dialysis center with two waiting rooms, an eighteen-chair dialysis treatment space, private rooms, a laboratory, conference room and private physician offices. The renovation also included a specialized water treatment system, extensive millwork, custom cabinetry, a slate fireplace, touchless faucets, and a custom nurse call system.

Barnwell Library in Philadelphia PA

The renovation of a high school library and faculty lounge included the restoration of the library’s historic ceiling and light fixtures as well as the construction of mezzanines, a technology center, classrooms and an alumni archival room. The 2 1/2 story circa 1939 Art Deco library is the most dramatic space in the entire school. Finishes include extensive cherry millwork and accommodates shelving for 40,000-volumes. Extensive mechanical and electrical upgrades further modernized the space.

Energy Plus Corporate Office

Fit-out of 17,000 sf of commercial office space including individual offices with DIRTT System glass walls and entrance doors, a staff lounge/coffee bar and large work stations. Additional highlights include vertically articulated plaster and lay in ceilings and a lobby with a circular vaulted ceiling. Mechanical work included modification of the existing sprinkler systems, a fully ducted HVAC system, new electrical, new IT and data rooms as well as architectural and general task lighting. Construction of base building corridors accommodate access to new and future spaces.

America Bar & Grill in Glen Mills PA

Construction of a new 6,500 sf restaurant with five indoor dining rooms and an outdoor dining patio. The contemporary-style interiors include stone veneer walls, rough-hewn timber headers and sills, and 24″ x 24″ tile floors. Custom millwork includes a granite-topped bar, hostess stand, and built-in birch cabinetry. The exterior walls were prefabricated and erected on site with with custom crown and cornice details and custom aluminum windows and storefront.

Malta Boathouse

Gardner/Fox provided construction services to complete exterior restoration of a circa 1880 Tudor style boathouse. Highlights of the project included extensive custom carpentry to match existing Victorian details.

Medical Center Andrew Mutch Building

We provided design and build services to complete the renovation of administrative offices on the 7th floor of this medical center’s Andrew Mutch building.

Philadelphia Insurance Companies in Bala Cynwyd PA

Multi-phased renovation in 130,000 sf of office space. Amenities include executive offices and washrooms, a board room, an executive lounge, and a built-in aquarium. The executive area features floor to ceiling glass walls trimmed in mahogany, custom millwork, built-in lateral files, a granite reception area, and cut stainless steel signage.

St. Thomas of Villanova Monastery

Gardner/Fox was retained to provide corrective work in 56 sleeping rooms at the St. Thomas of Villanova Monastery at Villanova University.

Sage & Grey Nail Salon in Wayne PA

Interior nail salon fit-out included new plumbing, electrical, water, and sewer, construction of a waxing room, and the coordination and installation of all furniture and appliances.

National Disease Research Institute Laboratory

Six-week fit-out of 1,845 square foot of laboratory space, including the procurement of specialty items. The scope included a work lab, bio-safety area, and freezer room housing fourteen tissue freezers and liquid nitrogen storage tanks. Special requirements included chemical resistant work surfaces, fire rated and acid resistant casework, a high-volume fume hood with constant volume bypass, and independent mechanical systems for heating and cooling.

HMS School

Construction of a dormitory addition and renovation for the HMS School, which offers educational opportunities and therapeutic programs for both resident and day students afflicted with motor impairments or other disabilities resulting from cerebral palsy or traumatic brain injury. The addition includes dormitory rooms and nursing facilities with administrative offices on the floor above. Renovations expanded the existing cafeteria and converted existing dormitory rooms into classrooms. Construction also included the installation of an elevator, stairs and wheelchair ramps.

Rite Aid in Audubon PA

New construction of a 14,700 sf retail pharmacy with drive-thru and photo center. Project details include structural steel, interior and exterior framing & sheathing, Exterior Insulated Finish System (EIFS), exterior stone wainscoting, custom exterior structural column covers, EPDM and shingle Roof, full sprinkler system, and HVAC and electric systems.

AVID Radiopharmaceuticals

Renovation and expansion of a 14,000 sf research and development facility. Renovations included new administrative and office space, clinical space with new labs, a dark room, an instrument testing room, a hot lab for radioactive materials, a quality control room, clean rooms, and a quarantine area. New HVAC, exhaust hoods, a nitrogen generator, compressed air and medical gas distribution, and upgraded electrical distribution were also required.

Health Springs Medical Center

New construction of a 20,000 sf two-story medical center consisting of 60 offices, exam rooms, conference rooms and a radiology center. Fast-tracked and occupied within fourteen weeks.

Infiniti Dealership of Willow Grove PA

In order to meet new Infiniti standards, the Willow Grove dealership upgraded the interior and exterior facade of the facility. The renovation included an acid-etched frameless glass exterior wall on the front facade, a reed-glass entrance element, frameless glass entrances, and Infiniti dealership signage. Concrete walks, curbs, and parking lot upgrades were also included.

Fresenius Medical Care Dialysis Center

A 30,000 square foot, 64-chair dialysis unit built in Philadelphia’s former BUDD complex. Awarded “Small Project of the Year” by Mid-Atlantic Construction Magazine.

Old First Reformed Church in Philadelphia

Complete interior renovation of the social hall and parish house at a historic Philadelphia church. The renovation required the installation of a commercial kitchen, new mechanical systems, and central air conditioning. Site improvements and the construction of an outdoor storage building help the church function more efficiently.

Quorum Conference Center in Philadelphia

Fit-out of 4,500 sf of flexible space for events, workshops, conferences and receptions. Amenities included a frameless glass entry system, a folding glass panel wall, aluminum overhead doors, writable wall coverings, free-form acoustical ceiling panels, an audio/visual system with integrated dimming control, conference rooms, private meeting rooms, and a library. Flexible spaces can be expanded or divided for large and small gatherings.

Monarch Med Spa in Philadelphia

Interior retail fit-out at The Shops at Liberty Place. A retail area in the front of the store displays proprietary products and features custom built-ins with glass shelving and specialized display lighting. Columns, curved soffits, custom paint colors and other architectural details accentuate public spaces.

Audi Dealership of Reading PA

This project is a 5200 square foot renovation of a Porsche dealership into a brand new Audi showroom with drive-through service drop off.

Mariposa Food Co-op in Philadelphia

Renovation a 4,000 sf bank building (listed on the National Register of Historic Places) for use as a co-op grocery store. The work included restoration of the decorative plaster ceilings and coffers, grinding and polishing the terrazzo floors, and repairs to the historic facade. Amenities include new mechanical systems for heating, cooling, and refrigeration, skylights, walk-in refrigerators and freezer boxes, display and cash-wrap casework, decorative lighting and a commercial prep-kitchen. Received a historic preservation award from the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia.

Vineyard Community Church in Chester Springs PA

Construction included a 3,000 sf sanctuary and multi-purpose room, a Sunday school wing that serves as a day care center during the week and a large cafe for social events. The selection of a pre-engineered building reduced costs. Interior finishes are bright and contemporary.

Wexford Science & Technology Corporate Office

Fit-out of 1,820 sf of office space for Wexford’s corporate marketing office in the Science Center at 3711 Market Street. Finishes include solid maple flooring and millwork, an anodized aluminum floor base, fabric covered walls, granite wall tiles, Herculite entrance systems, custom red accent glass, drywall ceilings and soffits, an audio-visual system, and LED lighting.

American College of Financial Services in Bryn Mawr PA

Complex construction of a three-story addition linked two existing buildings. The renovation of an existing (7,000 sf) two-story historic colonial office building modernized finishes and mechanical systems. Campus renovations also included a four-hour rated fire vault for computer disk storage. Construction was completed in three phases to accommodate on-going campus activities.

Shula’s 347 Restaurant in West Conshohocken PA

Renovation and re-conception of a 5,600 sf restaurant and bar in the Conshohocken Marriott Hotel. The work included full interior demolition of the existing space, constructing a new private dining room, and renovating the existing atrium. Amenities included plasma televisions, new audio/visual system, and centralized lighting controls with low voltage accent lighting.

Ascension Mar Thoma Church in Philadelphia

Construction of a new 14,700 sf church. The work included partial demolition of an existing warehouse and integration of a new prefabricated steel building by Miller Buildings, site development, and state of the art mechanical, electrical and audio/visual systems.

Lang Center for Civic & Social Responsibility at Swarthmore College

Construction included structural alterations and two new entrance vestibules. New interior finishes refreshed meeting spaces, the student resource room and staff offices. Mechanical upgrades include a fire sprinkler system, updated HVAC with a Building Automation System, and water and sanitary services. Site improvements brought the Center into ADA compliance standards.

4501 E Fishers Lane Philadelphia

Conversion of a historically certified farmhouse and barn into a residential care facility for mentally handicapped children. The renovation included a complete renovation of the existing 4,500 sf farmhouse and the construction of a new 4,600 sf addition. Complies with ADA accessibility requirements.

Winner Audi Dealership of Wilmington DE

A lumber warehouse was converted into a sleek, modern Audi dealership. The stylish 12,800 sf showroom features exposed curved bar joists and hardwood flooring and a 10-car showroom with additional space for sales desks, management offices and a Quattro coffee bar. The 8,250 sf service area features twelve service bays and one wash bay. The 9,700 sf second floor houses a technician break room, parts storage, offices and a secondary showroom for antique cars.

305 Chestnut Hill Avenue Philadelphia

Renovation and conversion of a turn-of-the-century, stone Chestnut Hill mansion into a modern, long-term structural psychiatric care facility. The project involved the complete rehabilitation of the existing building, including the installation of new HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler, security and electrical systems. The design and construction specifically addressed the accessibility, safety, and security issues that were a prime concern of the building owner.

Eagle National Bank in Haverford PA

The interior of an existing office space in an administrative center was completely gutted and rebuilt to include a custom built teller desk and feature wall, private offices, a conference room, drive-up teller and new ATM machine for an Eagle National Bank branch in Philadelphia’s Main Line district.

Staybridge Suites in Malvern PA

Complete interior and exterior renovations modernized this 120 guest suite hotel. The renovation included a new arched entryway to the main lobby and all new interior and exterior finishes. Highlights of the main lobby include stained cherry cabinets with black onyx granite, a culture stone and marble fireplace, and raised panel wainscoting.

Krispy Kreme Fox Chase in Philadelphia

A vacant Popeye’s was converted into a fully functional Krispy Kreme doughnut bakery. Site work included repaving and striping the parking lot, perimeter fencing, signage, and landscaping. An aluminum storefront/entrance, TPO roof replacement, painting, metal roofing, downspouts, and awnings freshened up the exterior. The interior was completely gutted and renovated with new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, floor and wall tile, drywall, and acoustical ceilings.

Stonhard Corporate Training Center in Maple Shade NJ

Phased fit-out of the marketing and training departments at the corporate headquarters of Stonhard Inc. The entire department continued to function at full strength during the renovation and safe access through the construction zone was provided for Stonhard employees at all times. The training center is fully equipped with new audio/visual equipment.

Global Soft Landing Laboratory

Fit-out of 3,100 sf of laboratory and meeting space. Amenities included laboratory benches, metal casework, chemical fume hoods, shower & eye-wash stations, autoclave, cold room, glassware washer, de-ionized water, centrifuges, and other laboratory instruments.

Mariposa Food Co-op in Philadelphia

Renovation a 4,000 sf bank building (listed on the National Register of Historic Places) for use as a co-op grocery store. The work included restoration of the decorative plaster ceilings and coffers, grinding and polishing the terrazzo floors, and repairs to the historic facade. Amenities include new mechanical systems for heating, cooling, and refrigeration, skylights, walk-in refrigerators and freezer boxes, display and cash-wrap casework, decorative lighting and a commercial prep-kitchen. Received a historic preservation award from the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia.

Verizon Wireless Facility in Plymouth Meeting PA

Fast-track construction of a new state-of-the-art, 26,000 sf fiber optic telephone switch facility including renovation of a 23,000 sf building and a new 80 car parking lot with stormwater detention system. Extensive emergency back-up systems included two 800 kilowatt diesel generators, FM 200 fire suppression system, security systems, and redundant cooling systems. The second floor structure was designed for 400 pound per square foot loading, for use as a future battery room.

Integral Molecular Laboratory

Fit-out of 9,835 sf of new laboratory and office space in the Science Center at 3711 Market Street. The work included mechanical, electrical, and lab waste plumbing systems, baked enamel lab casework and chemical resistant counters, an autoclave, a glass washer, deionized and reverse osmosis water systems, piped medical gas, systems furniture, and a conference center.

DanDan Rittenhouse in Philadelphia

The renovation transformed a former print shop into a bi-level Sichuan/Taiwanese bistro. The floorplan includes a 10-seat bar on the ground floor with a few tables at the front window and a communal table tucked behind the bar. On the second level, balcony seating offers a view of the bar and the street. Hanging lanterns and a large-scale mural characterizes the sparse urban decor.
