Gardner/Fox Wins Contractor of the Year

We are feeling the love this February! We recently learned that Gardner/Fox has won the title of Contractor of the Year in the Northeast region for our Functionality Focused Renovation in Wayne, PA!

What began as the need for a guest suite developed into a 3,300 sq. ft. first-floor renovation in this award-winning project. The first step was to create an open concept floor plan which encompassed the family room, kitchen, and dining room. Each space flows together with warm, rustic accents and vaulted ceilings. After a few modifications to the garage and a small addition, the new guest suite also resides on the first floor, as well as wall-to-wall built-in storage, a wet bar, and a mudroom. The final piece to this renovation was the construction of the families new 3-car garage, attached to the mudroom through a breezeway.

The Contractor of the Year awards is an annual competition held by NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry) that judges contractors from around the country on problem-solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, and degree of difficulty by an impartial panel of industry experts. You can read more about it, and the other regional winners here.

We are so proud of our team for their outstanding work and the craftsmanship that went into this project. We are proud to continue setting new standards in professionalism and craftsmanship in the world of professional design and contracting. We would also like to thank our homeowners for choosing us to build their new space and allowing us to submit their project!

Our history

This business, like many small businesses, evolved from a friendship between two ambitious young professionals. Brook Gardner, an engineer from Virginia, and Mark Fox, an architect from Kentucky, discovered a common interest in designing and renovating buildings when they became neighbors in Center City, Philadelphia. They founded their own design and consulting firm in 1987, which has grown into Gardner/Fox.
