  • Dealership Renovation

Gardner/Fox has started on the latest addition to the Audi Dealership family, Audi Wilmington

The approximately 21,000 sq. ft. dealership will be renovated in 3 phases, allowing the facility to continue business and provide service to customers during construction. As the architectural designer, Gardner/Fox worked with Audi to design an updated dealership with its own unique look, while staying true to the Audi brand.

The first stage of the project will begin on the first floor, completely renovating the heart of the dealership, with the reception area, café, manager offices, sales desks, and service writer area. Structurally, phase one will see the first steps of creating a new addition, with foundation excavation, steel construction, and connection on the mezzanine level. This new structure will act as a temporary showroom during the second phase of construction, but will ultimately become an enclosed vehicle service drop-off.

Phase 2 will complete the customer facing portions of the building, with the expansion of the showroom, and remaining management offices. Concurrent, the automotive repair shop will be completely renovated, with new lifts, equipment, and finishes, at night.

Finally, phase 3 will complete the renovations to the service facility with the installation of new tile flooring. The first floor interior of the dealership will be complete, and completely restored to functionality. At the mezzanine level, we will install new lighting and finishes in the employee lounge, offices, and parts storage.

Whether employee or customer, new purchase or service maintenance, this renovation will provide each person with the outstanding luxury experience that is uniquely Audi. Check back soon for an update on this dealership!

Our history

This business, like many small businesses, evolved from a friendship between two ambitious young professionals. Brook Gardner, an engineer from Virginia, and Mark Fox, an architect from Kentucky, discovered a common interest in designing and renovating buildings when they became neighbors in Center City, Philadelphia. They founded their own design and consulting firm in 1987, which has grown into Gardner/Fox.
