If you are longing for new garden spaces or the renovation of existing garden spaces at your home, the Gardner/Fox Landscape Division is happy to meet with you to discuss your project. Contact Tony Assetto at (610) 525-8305 to learn about the services Gardner/Fox Associates can provide for you and your home landscape.

Gardner/Fox Wins Kitchen of the Year Award

Renovations to this 100 year-old Colonial Revival Main Line home recently won the Kitchen of the Year Award from Kitchen and Bath Business magazine. This home was also featured in Remodeling Trends magazine, an international publication.

The family room addition and custom kitchen renovation features fine details, furniture-inspired cabinets, and antique barn beams. The newly renovated 375 square-foot kitchen includes a bank of eight-foot high French patio doors that open into a courtyard, creating one large indoor/outdoor room perfect for warm-weather entertaining. A 14-foot granite topped island provides a seating area and houses a microwave, warming drawer and copper sink. The kitchen flows seamlessly into a 660 square-foot family room addition that includes a mudroom, vestibule and porch leading to a flagstone patio.

Summer Home Maintenance Tips
Patch or Replace Your Asphalt Driveway
Asphalt and sealer need warm temperatures (above 50 degrees Fahrenheit) for proper application.

Clean and Inspect Siding
Power wash and inspect siding. Have siding replaced, if necessary, during the warm summer months.

Deck Maintenance
Power wash, repair, refinish and seal decks. Check for protruding nails and repair.

Complete Painting Projects
Summer is a good time for exterior and interior painting projects. The warm temperatures allow for ventilation and quick drying times.

Inspect for termites and other pests
Inspect the basement, attic, and eaves for termites, carpenter ants, bees, wasps and hornets. Check for any signs of wood damage.

Prepare Your Home for Your Vacation
Turn off the two faucets leading to your washing machine to prevent hose bursts, or if possible, turn off the main water supply. Unplug minor appliances. Make sure all windows and doors are closed and locked. Have a trusted neighbor collect mail and newspapers.

Client Comments
"Let me tell you how much we enjoyed working with
Mike Hannigan (photo right). We had never undergone any major renovations prior to this one and working with Mike on planning our new home was exciting. He took the time to listen to what was important to us and how we envisioned using our new space. He was incredibly patient as we worked through numerous versions of the plans. Mike was always professional and never made us feel as if any of our questions were bothersome."
