Summer Home Maintenance Tips
|
 |
Patch or Replace Your Asphalt Driveway Asphalt and sealer need warm temperatures (above 50 degrees Fahrenheit) for proper application.
Clean and Inspect Siding Power wash and inspect siding. Have siding replaced, if necessary, during the warm summer months.
Deck
Maintenance Power wash, repair, refinish and seal decks. Check for protruding nails and repair.
Complete Painting Projects Summer is a good time for exterior and interior painting projects. The warm temperatures allow for ventilation and quick drying times.
Inspect for termites and other pests Inspect the basement, attic, and eaves for termites, carpenter ants, bees, wasps and hornets. Check for any signs of wood damage.
Prepare Your Home for Your Vacation Turn off the two faucets leading to your washing machine to prevent hose bursts, or if possible, turn off the main water supply. Unplug minor appliances. Make sure all windows and doors are closed and locked. Have a trusted neighbor collect mail and newspapers.

Client Comments |
 |
"Let me
tell you how much we enjoyed working with Mike
Hannigan (photo right). We had never undergone any major
renovations prior to this one and working with
Mike on planning our new home was exciting. He
took the time to listen to what was important to
us and how we envisioned using our new space. He
was incredibly patient as we worked through
numerous versions of the plans. Mike was always
professional and never made us feel as if any of
our questions were bothersome."
